A training academy and community pavilion for Chelsea FC’s youth team and Football in the Community department is the final phase of their Cobham sports campus.

The building comprises cellular changing spaces at ground floor level and open plan office spaces on the upper floor, and accommodates a number of facilities for young people in the community, including a gym and welfare centre.

Significant economies are made by using the cellular blockwork walls at the lower level to support the floors, and an open steel frame and lightweight roof at the first floor level. While being a more economical solution, the building complements the adjacent first team training building with its free weathering brass cladding to the gables and eaves.
