Lloyds of London have been undertaking a refurbishment programme of their iconic escalators in their main atrium. To facilitate this and maintain access to the trading floor, temporary stairs were required between basement and the first floor trading floor. Webb Yates Engineers were engaged to assist Steeldeck Rentals in developing a structural solution for forming the stair structures. The principle challenges in realising this project centred around not impacting on the trading activities and maintaining an acceptable aesthetic for the main entrance for the duration of the refurbishment works
