Yotel

This project involved creating Japanese style capsule hotels in Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Schipol airports to provide convenient, inexpensive hotel accommodation. Webb Yates considered a number of structural solutions and materials in order to satisfy the requirements of the project. These were presented through a series of sketches, which highlighted the importance of buildability from the outset. The final solution chosen was to use stressed skin timber panels to make up the units.
