Sam Turner, Architect

BA(Hons) Dip Arch ARB

Sam studied at both London Metropolitan and Kingston University where he was awarded the Vu Quang Hoang Tu Prize for Promise. He joined the Interrobang team in 2016, previously working at Mae Architects on projects including a landmark retirement home in Westminster and one of the largest estate regeneration schemes in Europe.

Since joining us, Sam has delivered several transdisciplinary projects including the refurbishment of the Grade II* listed Hoover Building and the recently completed digital air traffic control tower for London City Airport. He is part of the teams working on improvements to London Gatwick, Heathrow (Terminal 4) and City Airport.

Sam is leading the Embodied Energy Assessment Team and spearheading the drive for regenerative design within the office and with our collaborators. He brings a playful but practical approach to design, building relationships with craftspeople and stakeholders to deliver beautiful, enduring architecture. He is personally testing low impact ways of living in London by renovating and residing on a canal boat.
