Vacancies in London:

Financial Controller

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join Webb Yates Engineers in our London office. 

Candidates will be responsible for the efforts and results of the finances for Webb Yates Engineers. Reporting to the Board of Directors in regard to all financial and accounting activities. Overseeing other staff with financial duties within the business in day-to-day operations and liaising with external financial parties.

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ of experience in a business or finance environment
  • Minimum of two years’ experience at Financial Controller level
  • Candidates will have a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field

Duties and key responsibilities:

  • Oversee all company accounts, investments and financial matters
  • Liaise with company accountants as required to create annual accounts and other financial and statutory reporting and filings
  • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
  • Supervise and manage staff with financial responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively
  • Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
  • Project management of financial process changes and implementations
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
  • If required, collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
  • Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
  • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
  • Handling VAT, PAYE and Tax duties, including corporation tax
  • Prepare, check and action Employee Payroll each month
  • Manage suppliers and creditors
  • Manage credit control
  • Report to the Board of Directors with timely and accurate financial information
  • Assist the Board of Directors in presenting reports to Staff members, External stakeholders and shareholders
  • Liaise with the Company’s Bank and bank manager to arrange loans, overdraft facilities and satisfy financial regulations and reporting associated with the company bank accounts

Building Services Revit/Cad Technician 

We are seeking a Revit/CAD Technician to join Webb Yates Engineers in our London office. 

Experience: An experienced Revit/CAD Technician with minimum 5 years’ experience. Candidates will ideally have an HND or BEng or Building Services related Degree.

Candidates will have appreciation of the process of producing viable engineering solutions, within the scope of a design brief and of the processes involved in the analysis and design of engineering elements. They will also have appreciation of how materials and/or systems are specified and incorporated into building design and of construction techniques. Candidates will have the ability to create Revit families and have an understanding of running clash detection reports.

Candidates will have experience in the production of engineering documents by using Auto – CAD and Revit software as well as experience of health and safety requirements and legislation and knowledge of relevant environmental and sustainability issues.

The successful candidate will be expected to prepare technical engineering deliverables including Building Information Modelling and CAD drawing production, attend internal meetings, supervise production of project deliverables and assist with the preparation of reports and specification. The successful candidate will also contribute towards developing Revit templates.

Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join Webb Yates Engineers in our London office. 

A senior member of a structural engineering design team with responsibilities for undertaking structural engineering designs, attending meetings and construction sites, supervising production of project deliverables and leading day-to-day aspects of projects.

Experience: At least 5 years’ post graduate experience within a structural engineering design office or team and chartered with either the ICE or IStructE.

Duties and key responsibilities / role:

Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join Webb Yates Engineers in our London office. 

Webb Yates Engineers is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with 4 to 8 years’ experience. Candidates will ideally have Engineering Level 7 or equivalent qualification and the Chartered Engineer status.

Candidates will have excellent client-facing and internal communication skills to motivate and lead a project team as well as a strong background in electrical engineering and the ability to produce viable electrical services solutions within the scope of a design brief, including full electrical system and lighting calculations, taking account of critical constraints, safety, sustainability and cost and the ability to carry out analysis and design of building services systems.

Candidates will have experience of health and safety requirements and legislation and knowledge of relevant environmental and sustainability issues.

Intermediate / Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an Intermediate / Senior Mechanical Engineer to join Webb Yates Engineers in our London office. 

Webb Yates Engineers is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with minimum 3-6 years’ experience, or candidates looking for the next step in their careers. Candidates will ideally have Engineering Level 6 or equivalent qualification and the Chartered Engineer status, preferably MCIBSE but alternative equivalent acceptable.

Candidates will have the ability to carry out analysis and design of building services systems and produce viable building services solutions, within the scope of a design brief, taking account of critical constraints, safety, sustainability and cost and the ability to carry out analysis and design of building services systems.

Candidates need to be confident in working independently as well as part of a team. Ideal candidates will have excellent client-facing and internal communication skills to motivate and lead projects and experience in mechanical design role running projects from conception through to completion.

Candidates will have experience of health and safety requirements and legislation and knowledge of relevant environmental and sustainability issues.

We are seeking new talents to join Webb Yates Engineers.

We are looking for an outstanding Graduate Structural Engineer to join our multi award winning consultancy. The applicant should have an enthusiasm for sustainability, the built environment and Architecture and should be keen to develop professionally in these fields. The successful candidate, who will join our practice August to October 2022, will have a sound understanding of engineering principles and be expected to achieve a minimum of a two one honours master’s degree.

You will be expected to work alongside more senior engineers on all stages of the design of buildings and other projects. This will include initial scheme design of options, design development and coordination with other members of the design teams, detailed design calculations, assisting in the preparation of working drawings and details together with site inspections. You will be expected to undertake computer analyses for more complex solutions.

You will work as part of our team with full supervision and training as necessary and can expect greater responsibilities and swift career progression with experience.
