Cycle to MIPIM 2018

Cycling Team 07 web2

This year, once again, some of our keen cyclists will be making the epic 1,500km ride to MIPIM with Club Peloton.

Anna Beckett, Andrew Lerpiniere, Andy Yates and Tom Webster will be heading off on 8th March and joining around 200 other cyclists to complete the challenge in six days.

Yes - all four are keen cyclists but this really is a challenge! Six days of getting up at 4:45am, 12 hours on a bike with limited toilet breaks, freezing temperatures, and a never-ending battle to keep the legs going… It’s a challenge that’s both physically and mentally exhausting.

But it’s all for a great cause!

Club Peloton is a grant-making charity that raises money through cycling initiatives like the Cycle to MIPIM to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people. Their main beneficiary is Coram, the UK’s oldest and first children’s charity. Established as the Foundling Hospital by Thomas Coram over 275 years ago, it was London's first home for babies whose mothers were unable to care for them. Since then it has continued to support vulnerable children across the UK, in particular through their independent adoption service which supports children who may not be able to be adopted through traditional routes. It's a really brilliant charity that we're all honoured to support.

To support Club Peloton in making these grants, we’ve pledged to raise in excess of £10,000, as well as pledging some of our own money to sponsor one of the teams riding to Cannes.

But we need your help! Visit the team’s sponsorship page and dig deep to pledge anything you can afford. There’s some special swag up for grabs for those donating £10 or more… including limited edition Webb Yates Engineers cycling caps!
