Webb Yates Engineers were commissioned by Chelsea Football Club to provide structural design services for their new youth training pavilion at Cobham in Surrey. The building consists of cellular changing spaces at ground floor level and open plan office spaces on the upper floor. Significant economies were made by using the cellular blockwork walls at the lower level to support the floors and a more open steel frame and lightweight roof at the first floor level.
