The refurbishment of this Knightsbridge duplex apartment celebrates the classic elements of the building, whilst creating a modern and elegant space.
A year of drawing, testing and research and in tight collaboration with talented artisans and craftsmen, Webb Yates Engineers developed this spine like post tensioned solid natural stone staircase, using a single cable to hold it into position. Its structure was inspired by the architecture and incredible strength of a whale’s vertebrae, where each detail, junction and moment were considered throughout the whole design process.
