This house in Earls Court, West London, is part of a mews terrace and has been refurbished at all levels internally, including new timber floors supported by steel beams and adjustment of the mansard roof at second floor level to provide a greater living space. A new basement has been constructed beneath the property to accommodate additional kitchen space. The staircase from basement level, constructed entirely from timber, is fixed to appear as though it is floating. The staircase from ground to first floor is designed to appear as though it has been constructed from a single piece of timber which snakes back and forth to form the stair treads.
